I consider that, now and then — luscious, fudgy brownie — Krispy Kreme doughnut — really hot french fries — a slice of pizza so cheesy, the hot goo strings away from the pie. I’ll go so far as to concede being thin — or in my case, at least, not fat, since I’m certainly not thin — feels as good as those fave foods of mine taste.

I’d been sexually inactive for so long, some undesirable afflictions — like HPV (Human Papillomavirus) — were now so much in the public eye, young girls were advised to get vaccinated (free) against it. Now that I was getting poked again, I decided to get poked with the vaccine, even though it had not been studied in women my age: I, Mrs.Hot, was not about to get cervical cancer, to which it has been linked. I bought the very expensive vaccine myself, and my doctor gave me the series of shots.

This Fourth of July, as ever, we celebrate our independence from Britain.

Take the time to complete your look with the right jewelry, handbag, scarf — even gloves and hats, when appropriate. But it’s your shoes, especially, that you can count on to leave a trail of smoldering ash behind you, not to mention a few chalk body outlines where men have fallen like dominos in your wake.
IN WHICH I ENCOUNTER NEW BALANCE, NO SNEAKERS INVOLVED.
Neither of us spoke. The boat underneath us rocked gently to and fro, and the only sound was the water lapping at the sides. It had gotten darker now that the candles had almost burned down, but Nikos and I could still see into each other’s eyes. As the candles extinguished one by one, we maintained our position, wrapped in each other’s arms. Though it was now pitch black, I knew he was still looking at me, or into me, rather, as I was looking into him. Who fell asleep first, I wouldn’t know. But we woke the next morning, incredibly, in virtually the same position.
